Creative Leaps

30 minute long pre-ballet class for 2-3 year olds. This class works on gross motor skills, exploring rhythms, dancing with music, finding the beat, fun games with bean bags, scarves and other props. Child does not need to be potty-trained.


Little Leapers I & II

45 minute long ballet and tap combination class for preschoolers. This class introduces your little one to ballet and tap technique. Each class will consist of fun dance games, singing, and dancing with props. Little Leapers I is for 3-4 year olds and Little Leapers II is for 4-5 year olds. Must be potty-trained.


Kindergarten B/T Combo

55 minute long ballet and tap combination class for kindergartners.


B/T/J Combo

1 hour and 25 minute long ballet, tap and jazz combination class for 1st graders.


Hip Hoppity K/1st Grade

This class is our modified version of hip hop for our younger students. Hip Hoppity is an energetic, upbeat and trendy form of dance. This class will combine isolations, rhythm and popular dance moves to songs that are fun but clean and age appropriate.


AcroDance K/1st

This class is our primary level acrobatics class for kindergarten and 1st graders. Leap Dance Center is certified in a professional curriculum for acrobatic dance called Acrobatic Arts. This class will learn basic age appropriate tumbling skills while focusing on flexibility, strength, and balance. By the end of the year students will learn how to incorporate the skills they have learned into a dance.


Ballet

Ballet is the foundation for all forms of dance. The American form of ballet is a combination of the French, Russian and Italian schools of ballet. Students will learn classical ballet technique and French terminology. Standard exercises are taught at the barre to develop skills for more advanced steps to be performed in the center. Each class is comprised of barre exercises, center stretching, allegro and adagio (quick and slow) combinations, as well as leaps and turns.


Tap

Tap dancing is a type of dance which demonstrates various movements made with rhythms by the feet. More so than other dance forms, Tap develops the exactness of rhythm and timing, the ability to think fast and the coordination of the mind and body. Tap has a very relaxed feel which makes it fun! Each class will consist of musicality exercises, technique, and improvisation. We don't make noise, we make music with our feet!


 BOYS Tap

Our ALL boys tap class with Mr. Matt! Tap dancing is a type of dance which demonstrates various movements made with rhythms by the feet. Jazz

Jazz has been defined as "stylized theatrical dancing" based on many other forms of dance and influenced by American jazz music. Jazz is the predominant form of dance used on Broadway. Jazz can sometimes be classified as free style, street dance, funk, rock or lyrical. It finds these classifications by the choice of music danced to. Each class will consist of a proper warm up, stretching, progressions across the floor, center work on turns, and fun combinations.


Lyrical/Contemporary

Lyrical and Contemporary are similar forms of dance in that they both utilize a strong jazz and ballet background. Lyrical is performed to a song that has lyrics and uses the lyrics to inspire emotional movement. Contemporary incorporates modern dance and has become wildly popular in recent years. When performed, contemporary interprets  the overall story or feeling from a piece of music or from the vision of its choreographer. Students must be enrolled in ballet while taking this class.


Hip Hop

Hip hop is our most popular class! It's an energetic, upbeat and trendy form of dance that combines jazz, jazz funk, and street dance. You might recognize hip hop on popular dance shows, such at So You Think You Can Dance, World of Dance, or America's Got Talent. Hip hop encourages students to have their own style and personality. This class will combine isolations, rhythm and popular dance moves to songs that are fun but clean and age appropriate.


AcroDance

Acrodance combines classical dance technique with the precision and athleticism of acrobatic elements. Leap Dance Center is certified in a professional curriculum for acrobatic dance called Acrobatic Arts. This class will learn age appropriate tumbling skills, limbering and balancing while focusing on flexibility and strength. By the end of the year, students will learn how to seamlessly incorporate the skills they have learned into a dance.


Drill Team Prep

Drill team prep is a class specifically designed for students who are wanting to try out for the high school dance team. This is a great class for junior high and high school students. This class will focus on the necessary skills to be on the drill team at school. Each class will consist of leaps, turns and kicks, as well as basic dance skills. This class will be a drill team prep class for the fall semester only! In the spring semester it will turn into a Leaps & Turns class.
